         Rao’s Intermediate College started in 1992 . and with a modest strength of--- students. The junior college has had a great success with students securing state 1^st, 2^nd and 4^th ranks in the following year .It further progressed with a positive inclination and again created a sensation by securing 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 11^th ranks in the year in 1996 . This trend continued over the years and Rao’s had become a household name in Nellore for intermediate.

We have diversified courses in intermediate with Math, Physics and Chemistry and Biology, Physics and Chemistry with 352 students as the optimum strength besides Commerce , Economics and Civics along with Math, Economics and Civics also with a strength of 528 students enrolled. .  These courses also has the acceptance by parents in Nellore and has always been a favored destination to study in Rao’s.  We provide transport facilities to students who stay in remote places off Nellore and ensure that no student has any discomfort in travelling to the college.

We conduct sports day every year as we believe in the axiom that ‘All work and no play, makes jack a dull boy’ so sports day is organized and all enthusiastic students participate and demonstrate their prowess in various sports activities.

We have student also taking up activities in NSS and NCC and also ensure that social awareness is created at an young age. These students take an active role in all awareness campaigns and take up zealous participation on Republic and Independence days in various professions under the banner.

This is a biggest group that plays an active role and also the belief that this would be the apt age for the children to be nurtured and taught. Moral values and cultural values are imbibed in the children and this we believe will allow a wider thinking for the development of right attitude in children as they turn to graduation.
